In House PR

Time sensitive copy which has a relevant topical peg is essential these days in order to resonate with the press and so lead to the successful publication of your event. It’s a number game; the more people who know about your charity, the more future donors and sponsor you will have to promote to thus growing your invaluable database of new contacts.

All your hard work in setting up your recent event truly deserves all maximum exposure and publicity. New contacts such as: potential donors, sponsors, supporters and indeed volunteers are crucial in order to sustain your charity and reach out to more people who rely on your good work and facilities you provide to your beneficiaries.

Building new relationships for your worthy cause can be time consuming and not everyone likes cold calling but you have probably found this necessary in order to reach potential support in the past.

With the backing and support of your chosen wish list of newspapers and other media in your immediate geographical area or national where relevant, you benefit from actually being known by the various feature writers, reporters and editors and that is very powerful.

When readership figures are considered of regional press; or viewer ratings on regional or national radio or television you can easily realise the value of obtaining the backing and knowledge of the media. And compared with telephone campaigning or leaflet dropping or indeed relying on the good will of your supporters you can not only attract future funding for your charity but save a significant amount of money too.

Leafleting for example is costly both in monetary terms and manpower to distribute them and research shows that a 1% response rate is the average expectation. Like any other business, not least of all a charity, you need to keep in the “public eye” and find new ways to communicate to them, reach into their hearts so that they feel akin to your worthy cause above another one. There are thousands of charities needing to do the same and members of the public with leaner than ever disposable income.

Unlike the majority of PR companies who charge expensive retainers whether you are a registered charity or not we believe in clear and very fair one off project fees with no hidden charges – ever!

Professional:

Your copywriting and PR requirements are undertaken in association with my good friend and colleague Emma Andrews of The Business Promoter and we work very closely together on each project. Benefit from Emma’s 25 year experience, her extensive media contacts and her great reputation with her published article placement success. Additionally Emma is a published Children’s author and with cerebral palsy herself, a committee member of two charities.

Recommendation:

For our copywriting and PR service Emma would like to have a non obligatory telephone discussion with you. Should you wish to hire her services, then she will ascertain a convenient time for a telephone interview with you so that she can write your copy for the press release. We recommend that your telephone meeting is arranged at least a fortnight prior to your event, allowing Emma to write your draft, email it over and of course make any amendments you and your committee members may wish for. Additionally she will advise you on a draft you may have written and should you like, help you select your media wish list too.
